IF YOU'RE READY

How to play

1) Start with students standing up.

2) Tell students to listen to instructions and follow your movements.

3) Teacher repeats the following lines with a loud voice, rhythmically while performing the motions.

“If you’re ready put your hands on your head!
If you’re ready put your hands on your nose!
If you’re ready put your hands on your knees!
If you’re ready put your hands on your toes. Knees! Toes!
Knees! Toes! If you’re ready say… I’m READY!”

4) Students mirror the actions and say, “I’m READY!”

Note:  Use this technique to focus students at any time or as a transition from one activity to another. "If You're Ready" is a perfect, quick and easy exercise to capture and maintain attention using a positive, energetic attitude.
